HEAVEN BOUND

mom had been nagging at me to join her for a walk visit to rikugi-en and i was dodging (politely) like a dodgeball pro but i finally succumbed to her last friday for shuuhei finally lent me his slr to much around with. plus i should be a filial daughter, shouldn't i?
it was a gorgeous day the day we went there. our plan got dragged, reached there about 1700 which means i only had less than 2 hours to take day pictures of the park. the last time i was here was during summer and everything was just monotonously midori so it was pretty boring for me. now that it's fall and i'm few years wiser, i began to enjoy the simplicity of the scenery. the colours of autumn leaves are vibrant against the clear blue sky. i shall let the pictures do the talking.
when the sun set for the day, the garden revealed its true face, enhanced with coloured light, it became a live. it was beyond words. i almost didn't want to leave for dinner.

THE OTHER PART OF US

it's been almost years since i was in sydney. many things did change and at the same time many things aren't changed. also it was ambivalent to be back here. of course, i'm happy to be here again but i'm a nerve wreck for meeting doug's family for the first time. having said that, we've only started dating in june. technically this wasn't the first time i meet them, well, his mom anyway. i remembered talking to his mom when i was 15. she was looking for him after school. the brat was no where to be found.
anyway, it was weird cos i ended up staying at his place instead of leeching on jen. not that i'm complaining, it's just that i felt i was intruding and all. his mom, carmen was well, wasn't as bad as what dugii had told me, a disciplinarian yet likeable. his dad was a darling. an absolute darling. perhaps not having a daughter of his own makes me somewhat special.

oh how i have missed australia! the first place we went to was qvb which sure brought back a lot of good teenage memories!
