reached nyc safely, thank god.

my ass was kinda under fire in tokyo so my sabbatical hol fit in just nicely, thank god.

somehow my blog escaped their grasp solely because of english in content. another fit in. thank god.

another week and i will be away from civilisation.

i had a great birthday this year, celebrated it with my most-loved people.

oli had come and gone i'm missing her so much. my sabbatical holiday is confirmed, leaving by end of next month. Posting is confirmed and i'm hitting south america this time around.

i'm officially away for the next 1 and a half week cos oli's here and we are having a slumber party. shin took over my walk-in and pippen had a smashing idea, ditching his personal butler, shuuhei and crash with shin. long live major pippen.

BUSY BEE

wow. may was unexpected busy for me. time seemed something that i was always short of. one constant situation i kept finding myself in was rushing. i was always in a rush; of finishing a task and of from a place to another. my days off were the same, zooming from a place to another with no time for any photography sessions at all. the so-called free time i had i spent it with the boyfriend, if not, at the gym and the spa.

my hand-me-down car seemed like fighting its last stage of cancer. those three trips to the maintenance centre didn't really help. dad's reckoning it was shuuhei's 2008 crash showing its effects. i thought a mazda sedan would be sexy for me though dad thought otherwise. 'why?' he asked over dinner last night and i lied (e.g. i don't need the space; easier to maneuver a smaller car around blah, blah) but he didn't buy. he egged on getting a new suv. of the same model. the chinese in me sighed 'aiyo'.

btw, oli's eta next week. whoopers.

somehow pippen is now called major pippen mclarry i don't know what transpired.

pippen's behaving like a human and thinks the couch is his. he swept mom off her feet and mom is contemplating to take him home but shuuhei ain't budging.

my sabbathical plan is pretty much on the way. Papers are submitted, the bosses are encouraging, the parents are too (although you can feel 'that' aura around them). the boyfriend is torn in two while the best friend isn't too happy. but i reckon it's gonna be a short posting; 4 months max.

another good news is another best friend from the west is visiting (on business trip-cum-holiday) next month. whoopers. a very nice arrangement before i leave for fieldwork again.

aviation has been a huge part of kamata house since grandad. my first flight was with him when i was 2 which i have no recollection at all.

meeting him again was almost bizarre. for a moment, he seemed to be like a stranger to me. everything about him was new and foreign yet familiar, do you get what i mean?

alcohol + ex = lethal. but i guess sometimes we need some guts booster to help to get what we desire.

with a couple of things that have their air cleared, sho and i are in the process of starting afresh again. we are going to be more careful this time.

addendum: yes, shinpe showed me the mag yesterday. and no, my decision wasn't solely influenced by that. lol. though i have to say it does add some points.

WAY OF THE SWORD

last weekend saw the young kamatas hitting each other with shinai with the older kamatas in audience. i'm not bragging but shuuhei's just digging his own grave for going against me. and since both of us were heavily armed, dad became the photographer. the second photo of me and shuuhei is my personal favorite.
